Derek "Naka" Nakamura

Age: 21

Bass guitar and vocalist. Derek writes most of the group's comedy material. He likes camping, fishing and being outdoors. He also enjoys a good sushi enchilada with a Yoo Hoo. Born in San Gabriel Valley, California.

Benny "Jets" Hammond

Age:21

Drums and vocalist. Benny shares the lead vocal duties with Frankie. In his youth, he wore a space suit around a mall during his lunch breaks to entice curious humans and security guards. Born in Lancaster, California.

Frankie "Flea" De La Torre

Age:18

Lead (pronounced Leed not led) guitar and vocalist. Frankie won the Spike's "Cutest Skinny Virgin" award three months in a row and it looks like he's gonna get his fourth. Born in San Gabriel, California.

Mark "Cobra" Yzaguirre

Age:21

Rhythm guitar and vocalist. Mark visits local hospitals to perform CPR on any single girls who may have shortness of breath. He is the designated muscle man of the bunch. Born in San Gabriel, California.

Tally Ho
The Pi Beta girls and I skipped out on the freshmen ice cream social on Friday night to see The Volcanics perform at Yesteryears. Shirley was mad about Mark, one of the guitar players. We loved their cool choreography! Ginny and I were doing the stage moves along with the band! "Tally Ho" was my favorite song they played that night.

Shout!
A rock and roll concert was held in the Knights Auditorium where students were stomping away all those mid-term blues. The Volcanics played a boss version of "Shout" and the crowd went completely bananas. The singer Benny was wild and sweating more than he does during final exams! The boys knocked our socks off with their sassy energy once again.
